Martin Viktor is Martin V. Langlies voice and mouse-taps. Martin Langlie plays drums for another Dayladore Records-act; Leütenhaven, but also in Valkyrien Allstars and previously Dadafon & Gåte.

His debut will come this autumn on a 7" singel, so stay sharp!

Also this autumn, we'll release Family Volt's debut LP, more spesific dates will be posted in near future!

Leütenhaven - Still Life (Trompe l’oeil) doing good!
Monday, 29 October 2007 00:00

We can gladly announce that Leütenhaven is A-listed at RadioNova with the song "Still Life (Trompe L'oeil)"! The song is also listed at It's A Trap 's playlist :D

"Leütenhaven are full of surprises. Their debut EP opens with a droning art piece reminiscent of The Giant's Dream which then gives way to sharp indiepop anchored by a tight rhythm section and mantra-like vocals. "Still life (trompe l'oeil)" seems straightforward as first, but as the name suggests, not all is what it seems. Three chords and an endless refrain? Not quite. The steady strum of the guitar is a red herring. Listen carefully and you'll hear new harmonies appear as the background shifts in subtle ways. Are those voices real or are they samples? Does it matter? Should we be concerned with each individual element or concentrate on the end result? What's the proper vantage? From my point of view, I find this song to be a sublime, but tricky work of pop art. Leütenhaven lies somewhere between the anxious, overreaching epic-ness of Arcade Fire and the steady workmanship of the Figurines, a melding of craft and inspiration. Unexpected, but welcome." - It's A Trap!

"Leütenhaven - Still Life (Trompe l’oeil) (Dayladore Records)
- RadioNova

Family Volt on Dayladore Records!
Thursday, 04 October 2007 00:00

We are happy to reveal that Family Volt will release their first album on Dayladore Records! The band will spend the fall in studio and the album is planned to be released during 2008.

Family VoltFamily Volt is a merge between the two bands Pekka Volt and Stuk. Pekka Volt, famous for their great success with the song “Corky Went Overboard” from their debut EP, had a short and impetous success. Their first full length album “Whipped Cream and gasoline” from 2004 became the take off and landing for Pekka Volt as it was followed by great reviews and in the end; the dissolvement of the band. Tom Volt, songwriter and bassgplayer, continued to create music in the aftermath of the breakup, becoming more productive and inspired then ever. It didn´t take long until drummer Andreas Stunes heard the material and suggested they´d give it another try. Bent Borgund played the guitar in Stuk when he heard the news and decided to haul Helge K into the new constellation. Helge took charge of the drums, whereas Andreas started flirting with the synth, something that became quite a lovestory really. And from that point, Family Volt arose, with happy familymembers, playing their significant neoschizofrenic hybrid of hardrock and synthpop.
